• 2023-2024 PACE Position: Museum Education Communication Assistant

  • As a museum education communication assistant at the Kennedy Museum of Art, I worked on outreach and engagement with the community. By utilizing platforms like Instagram and Facebook, I promoted events like our Sunday open studios or exhibition openings.​

• Summer internship: International Women's Air and Space Museum

  • With America-250, I worked as a researcher in the museum's collections. I distilled thousands of books, articles, and excerpts into a timeline with readable summaries. This was made for teachers in Ohio to use as lesson plans about Ohio history. ​

• 2024-2026 Treasurer of Ohio University’s Society of Professional Journalists

  • As the treasurer, I participated in executive board meetings to plan out events and finances for the semester. Additionally, I facilitated interview-style meetings with invited speakers.​

• Multiplatform Reporting

  • Wrote multiple articles for this class, covering city council, local issues, and one long-form article I wrote on water treatment plants in Athens, Ohio. For that article, I spoke with city council members, environmental specialists, and people involved with the water treatment facility. I also took my own photos.​​​

• Summer 2025 Summer Communication Internship

  • My internship was with the National Fisheries Institute in Reston, Virginia as a media and communications intern. At this position, my main roles included writing blog articles on scientific topics by interviewing prominent members of the fishing industry, creating and editing promotional videos, and website design. This was a great opportunity as a full-time position to be able to explore multimedia communication and my own connection with PR, advertising and internal strategic planning. I also enjoyed working with the company’s Capitol lobbyist and was able to meet U.S. senators. Working near D.C. was an invaluable experience for me to live and connect with other professionals and see what big-city life is like.

• 2022-2026 Culture writer for The Post​

  • The Post was the first club I joined at Ohio University and has been a constant in my life ever since. The human-interest section was something I wanted to join specifically because of my interest in art, music, bands, people and more. In this section, I have enjoyed being able to spotlight various topics that are local to Athens. These have included an in-depth look at the history and future of the college green’s trees, a highlight of a winery and the annual indie film festival. Being a member of The Post has helped my interviewing skills, my writing and my ability to participate in an active newsroom.
